DISTORTIONS, 2018

DISTORTIONS, 2018 is an homage to André Kertész’s series of black and white photographs dating from the 1930s, of women shot in fun house mirrors. This body of work consists of 20 large scale color photographs. The images were shot in an extravagant and reflective installation in Sharon Louden’s studio during her residence at the Sharpe-Walentas studio program. The installation was created by Hrag Vartanian and Sharon Louden. Numerous performances took place in the space while the installation was up and Hrag and Sharon generously allowed me to photograph myself in it.
