natural history (wallaby mandible), 2023 is a life size sculpture carved from statuario marble. It is the first of a series of works incorporating the bones and body parts of other animals into my own. These works expand upon my meditations on corporeality to look at the interdependence between our bodies and other creatures we share our environment with. It seems obvious that endangering them will endanger us too, but we fail to act as if that were true.
